TFT Set 19 Release Date
Short answer: Set 19 is scheduled to go live with patch 19.1 on December 1, 2026. The PBE date, the set's name and its theme have not been announced yet. We update this page whenever Riot confirms something new.
What Riot has confirmed
Riot's official TFT patch schedule lists these dates (Pacific Time):
| Patch | Date | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| 18.6 | November 4, 2026 | Last regular Set 18 patch |
| 19.1 | December 1, 2026 | Set 19 launch |
| 19.2 | December 15, 2026 | First Set 19 balance patch |
Riot notes that any patch date can move, so treat these as the plan rather than a promise. Riot may also ship small mid-patch balance updates (b-patches) between these, but there isn't always one, so we don't list them as dates. Patches roll out region by region, so the exact hour you can play depends on your server.
Tactician's Crown: November 13–15
The Tactician's Crown, the world championship for Set 18, runs November 13 to 15, 2026, according to Riot's competitive schedule. The 40 best players from every region play three days of games, and the final day uses the Checkmate format: a player has to reach 20 points and then win a game to take the title.
Riot says the Crown will also include the reveal of what's next for TFT, so that is where we expect the first look at Set 19. The venue hasn't been announced yet. Our Tactician's Crown page tracks the dates, how players qualify and how to watch.
When does Set 19 come to the PBE?
Not announced yet. The PBE (Public Beta Environment, Riot's test server) usually gets a new set a few weeks before it goes live, so players can try it and Riot can fix bugs and balance it.
With a December 1 launch and the reveal at the Tactician's Crown, that points to mid-November, shortly after the Crown. That is an estimate based on how past sets were scheduled, not a Riot date. We will replace it with the real date as soon as Riot posts it.
What we don't know yet
- The name and theme. Riot hasn't revealed them yet; expect them at the Tactician's Crown.
- Champions, traits and the set mechanic. These come out with the reveal and the PBE.
- When Set 18 ranked ends. Ranked for a set normally closes when the next set launches, with a soft reset of your rank at the start of the new one. See Ranked Overview for how resets work.
What changes when a new set launches
Almost everything except the core rules. A new set brings a new champion pool, new traits and usually a new mechanic, while economy, leveling, the shop and the carousel work the same way. Everything in our Getting Started and Strategy guides still applies.
Early in a set, nobody knows the strongest comps yet. That is the best time to play flexibly and watch what wins.
Set 19 stats on tft.ninja
When Set 19 opens on the PBE, we plan to import PBE games and show them in the Explorer, so you can see which units, items and traits are doing well before the set goes live. Once 19.1 is out, Comps and the unit and item pages switch over to Set 19 ranked data.
Until then, the Set 18 comps are the ones to play for the rest of the season.
